HPE Africa’s robust Hyundai 520LC-9S hydraulic crawler excavators are designed for high productivity, precision control and improved operator comfort in tough conditions, particularly in arduous mining and quarrying conditions.
“The Hyundai R520LC-9S series also offers fuel efficiency, economic performance and low maintenance requirements,” says Alex Ackron, managing director, HPE Africa. “What’s notable is the newly-designed operator cab, which is spacious, with clear visibility, an important safety feature on busy sites. The re-designed hydraulic system and improved valve technology provide touch sensitive control for smooth operation and precise flow regulation for reduced fuel consumption.”
These excavators are powered by six cylinder, turbo charged air cooled Tier II engines, designed for high performance and reduced emissions. Hyundai’s computer aided power optimisation (CAPO) system allows the operator to select preferences for boom or swing priority, power mode and optional work tools.
Variable operating modes are : P – Power Max mode, which maximises machine speed and power; S – standard mode, which provides a reduced, fixed rpm and E – economy mode, which provides precise hydraulic flow and engine power based on load demand.
The Hyundai R520LC-9S series has an advanced colour cluster LCD display with easy to read digital gauges. The user friendly toggle switch allows the operator to select personal machine preferences – for example, power and work mode selection, self diagnostics and maintenance checks.
The start up machine security, video functions and an optional rear-view camera, have been integrated into the monitor for greater versatility and improved productivity. An auto-power boost facility, boom speed and arm regeneration are also selectable through the cluster.
