Igus has developed the new chainflex medium voltage cable Cfcrane.pur for very long travels, for example in crane facilities. Motor cables of this series are, among others, highly flexible and oil resistant. As a retrofit solution or for special projects, the company offers this new series of cables from stock.
In the crane and materials handling sector, installations are increasingly getting bigger and working 365 days a year. For projects of this kind, igus has developed this series of chainflex cables to complement their low-abrasion and low-noise roller energy chains. These are particularly suitable for very long travels up to 1 000 metres.
The new medium voltage cable can be used in indoor and outdoor applications due to the special conductor structure as well as the combination of the materials used. It has a diameter that is up to 20 percent smaller than conventional motor cables.
The cables have been developed for a bend radii of 10xd moving in e-chains. The durability has been proven in the c test laboratory and is guaranteed by the company for a life of 36 months.
