Caterpillar has introduced some updates to their cold planer range. Today’s Cat PM310, PM312 and PM313 cold planers feature multiple design enhancements that help to improve machine performance, operating comfort and milling power. The PM300 Series excels in small to medium applications where a compact, highly maneuverable machine with high production capabilities is required.
Also updated is an online web platform, VisionLink Productivity for cold planers, which delivers near real-time machine and jobsite data designed to improve the contractor’s productivity. Available for Cat PM620, PM622, PM820, PM822 and PM825 cold planers, VisionLink Productivity gathers, analyses and summarises detailed data such as time spent waiting for trucks, cutting and travel at the jobsite as well as distance cut, fuel burn, location and cycle mapping. This gives contractors insights into jobsite productivity and equipment utilisation.
