From the Chairman’s Desk

Beltcon is aimed at disseminating information on the latest technology as well as presenting case studies papers and new ideas for design, safety and operation of belt conveyors.
Starting in 1981, this conference has been held every two years in an unbroken line-up with Beltcon 22 being held 6 & 7 August 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Peer-reviewed papers are presented by South African and international speakers, exhibitors showcase their latest wares and services while the organising committee is at pains to make plenty of time for the all-important aspect of networking. (It’s not what you know but who you know…..)
And its influence has ‘long legs’. After each conference, technical papers are placed in the public domain available for download off the website www.beltcon.org.za. In this way, the belt conveying industry at large has access to valuable, practical information all day, every day.
Check out the Preliminary Programme for this year at www.beltcon.org.za on the Registration Page. A scroll through the Archives will also no doubt whet your appetite to attend this prestigious conference as a delegate and/or exhibitor.
Jay Pillay, Chairman
