From the Chairman’s Desk

It has been a busy month so far for the CMA!

The AGM was held on 19 August where Directors were elected to the Board.  They are –

Jimmy Dunne, Roland du Plessis, Jay Pillay, Dave Pitcher, Enver Rose, Bright Rwodzi, Graeme Skeen, Nica Smith and Jacques Swart.

I am really looking forward to the year ahead with this dynamic team.

Beltcon 22 was concluded at the beginning of the month.  As usual the experience was an outstanding success, with a wealth of knowledge and experience being shared with all who attended.  This is what one of the overseas speakers had to say on LinkedIn:

“I enjoyed bouncing new ideas off some of the best material handling industry professionals and academics in the world.  The presentations were thought provoking and there were many great networking opportunities.  I will certainly attend their next conference.”

Preparations will soon begin for Beltcon 23 when prospective speakers will be invited to submit their synopses for consideration.  By all accounts, make sure you have Beltcon 23 in 2027 highlighted in diaries, and keep an eye on the website www.beltcon.org.za for updates.
