Joint Forum: February 2022
Coming as we are to the end of the year, I wish all our members and the readers of BulkHandling Online a good break and a rested return to business in 2022.
We remain in touch electronically but the CMA has scheduled a Joint Forum meeting for Thursday 24 February taking place ‘live’ at the Bryanston Country Club, Johannesburg. As this is not a webinar, it is essential to book your space beforehand.
The preliminary programme, which is subject to change without notice, consists of four papers:
- Energy efficiency label and scale for conveyor belts. Dr Robin Steven (USA)
- An overview and comparison of large scale indentation rolling resistance tests methods. Prof Craig Wheeler (Australia)
- Measurements for energy efficiency on a long overland conveyor. David Kruse (USA)
- Lessons learnt after a fire at a mine in South Africa. Katlego Makgata (RSA)
While the international speakers will present virtually, Katlego Makgata will address the audience directly. We encourage members and other interested parties to join us at this free-to-attend event from 14h00 to 17h00.
