In a time where we all aware of the seemingly never-ending exposure of corruption, this month we draw readers’ attention to the “Code of Ethics” which is adopted by all CMA member companies.
General Expectation of Compliance
- A sound working relationship is built between CMA members and their clients in such a manner that business is conducted with integrity.
- Dishonest and unethical behaviour between member Companies and parties influencing purchasing decisions is to be eliminated.
- Activities including but not restricted to theft, fraud, bribery and misappropriation of assets shall be prosecuted by the CMA in terms of internal disciplinary procedures.
“We have a zero tolerance policy regarding any form of corruption. Clients or prospective clients of our member companies are welcome to visit the CMA site for further information on our “Code of Ethics” and its implementation. There’s much truth in the saying – honesty is (indeed) the best policy.”
Pleased to see that the CMA is pressing this issue once again which should be emphasized quarterly to continue reminding members of the importance of the Code of Ethics. It should further be promoted to end user’s such that they are fully aware that this Code exists within the CMA and that it is applicable across the board throughout our industry.
