Beltcon is the leading conveyor event in Africa and ranks up there with the best in the world. It is the bi-annual highlight for all things conveying (much like the Oscars are to movies).
Organisers work through the autonomous body, The International Materials Handling Conference (IMHC), which is managed by a committee of individuals drawn from the conveyor industry in South Africa.
It is underwritten by the three associations that play a prominent part in the materials handling industry. They are the CMA (Conveyor Manufacturers Association of South Africa NPC), SAIMechE (The SA Institution of Mechanical Engineering), and SAIMH (SA Institute of Materials Handling).
Conferences have been held every two years in an unbroken line from Beltcon 1 held in 1981, Beltcon 2 in 1983 right up until the upcoming Beltcon 22 which will be held 6th and 7th August 2025 in Johannesburg.
Once again, the speaker line-up is impressive, with famous international names. Of course, our local South African experts are well represented too.
Whatever you do, put this event into your diary to benefit from this highly informative conference, check out the wares/services of the exhibitors and, most of all, network with like-minded professionals.
